Fragrant Guavas

Fragrant guavas, Psidium guajava, are tropical fruits belonging to the family Myrtaceae, widely grown in warm regions like India. Known for their sweet aroma and refreshing taste, guavas are commonly enjoyed fresh as well as in juices, jams, and desserts.

They are rich in vitamin C, dietary fiber, and antioxidants, making them highly nutritious. Guava fruits vary in shape and can have white, pink, or red pulp depending on the variety.

This crop grows well in tropical and subtropical climates with an optimum temperature of 20–30°C. It thrives in well-drained soils and requires moderate rainfall.
